Dear Sir/Madam:

I am highly interested in pursuing a career in welding. My military experience encompassed a wide range of responsibilities that often required me to perform complex operations in challenging environments. As a self motivated young man with a solid work ethic, who is accustomed to being in positions of responsibility, I would like to further develop my skills and knowledge in the welding processes by seeking appointment in an apprenticeship program. My goal is to continue my development as a welder to achieve a level of progress that moves me along the continuum towards greater competency. I am confident that I am an excellent candidate and would welcome the opportunity to join your team and accept new challenges.

Sincerely,

Samuel Cooper Jr.
